Metronomy - Love Letters | Album Review

I was initially sceptical about the transition Metronomy could make with their fourth LP, but they’ve really explored a different aspect of their artistry, but then I haven’t paid much attention to them since disliking their debut. Upon the release of the single Love Letters, which pens the emotions of being on tour, and having been played religiously on 6 Music, it worked its way into January 2014. For synth-led compositions, the production is remarkably restrained, yet they still experiment with instrumentation, including a funky horn arrangement. They seem to have grown in confidence too, creating satisfying sounds with a real mix of influences chucked in.
